Implant Restorations Done Right

Picture
Dental implants have transformed modern dentistry. Treatments that were once considered highly complex have become predictable, efficient and capable of delivering life-changing outcomes for patients. Whether restoring a single missing tooth, replacing multiple teeth with implant bridges or providing a full arch immediate loading solution, today's implant dentistry is more sophisticated than ever.

However, there is one thing that has not changed.

Successful implant restorations are rarely the result of luck. They are the result of planning, communication and a dental laboratory that understands both the technical and clinical journey from start to finish.

At Bremadent Dental Laboratory, we have been involved in implant dentistry for decades. Our senior technicians have over 30 years of implant experience and have trained extensively in restorative concepts, allowing us to work closely alongside implant surgeons and restorative dentists throughout the planning and restorative process. We support everything from single implant crowns to complex screw-retained full arch restorations, milled bars and All on X immediate loading cases.

Implants may replace teeth, but they never replace good planning.
The End Result Starts Before the First Implant Is Placed
One of the biggest misconceptions in implant dentistry is that treatment begins on surgery day.
In reality, surgery is simply the execution of a plan.

The most predictable implant cases always begin by asking one simple question.
What do we want the final restoration to look like?

Only once that answer has been established should implant positioning be finalised. This is known as prosthetically driven implant planning, and it changes everything.

Instead of placing implants wherever bone happens to be available and hoping the restoration works afterwards, the restoration itself defines the ideal implant position, angulation, emergence profile, occlusion and aesthetics.
The implant then supports the prosthesis, not the other way around.

That may sound obvious, but it is remarkable how many restorative complications can be traced back to inadequate planning at the very beginning.

Single Implant Crowns Are Simple... Until They Are Not
A single implant crown often appears to be one of the simplest implant restorations. Sometimes it is. Sometimes it definitely is not. Replacing one missing tooth means every neighbouring tooth becomes the benchmark.
  • Patients compare it constantly.
  • Dentists compare it constantly.
  • The mirror compares it constantly.

The restoration must integrate naturally with the existing dentition while respecting soft tissue contours, emergence profile, occlusion, contacts and aesthetics.

Customised implant abutments often become invaluable where implant angulation or soft tissue architecture presents challenges. At Bremadent we manufacture customised zirconia two-piece abutments with titanium interfaces where indicated to improve both aesthetics and tissue support. The objective is never simply to fit a crown. The objective is to make it look like there was never a missing tooth in the first place.

Implant Bridges Demand Teamwork
Moving from single implants to multiple implant bridges increases complexity significantly. Unlike natural teeth, implants do not have a periodontal ligament.
  1. There is no cushioning.
  2. There is virtually no forgiveness.
  3. Passive fit becomes essential.
  4. Every connection must be accurate.
  5. Every impression or scan must be reliable.
  6. Every component must seat precisely.
  7. Even a small discrepancy can create stresses throughout the framework.

That is why we strongly advocate accurate implant-level records using verification jigs where appropriate, particularly on larger implant bridge cases. Verification jigs help ensure that the definitive working model accurately represents intraoral implant positions before manufacturing begins. It may seem like an extra appointment. In reality, it often saves multiple appointments later.

Digital Workflows Are Brilliant... When They Are Verified
Digital dentistry has revolutionised implant restorations. Intraoral scanners continue to improve. CAD software becomes more intelligent every year. Milling technology delivers remarkable precision. But digital does not eliminate clinical responsibility. It simply changes where errors can occur.
  1. Poor scan body seating.
  2. Incomplete tissue capture.
  3. Movement during scanning.
  4. Software stitching inaccuracies.
  5. Incorrect library selection.
All of these can influence the final result. Digital technology should improve accuracy, not encourage complacency.
One of the most valuable habits clinicians can develop is verifying every stage before progressing to the next. Technology is incredibly clever. It is not infallible.

Full Arch Cases Change Lives
There are few treatments in dentistry more rewarding than restoring an entire arch. Patients who have hidden their smile for years often walk out with renewed confidence.
  • They smile differently.
  • They speak differently.
  • Many simply feel like themselves again.

That responsibility should never be underestimated. Full arch implant restorations require considerably more than technical manufacturing.
  1. They require understanding of facial support.
  2. Lip position.
  3. Occlusal vertical dimension.
  4. Smile line.
  5. Phonetics.
  6. Soft tissue replacement.
  7. Functional loading.
  8. Cleaning access.
  9. Patient expectations.
Every decision affects another.
  • Changing tooth length alters speech.
  • Changing flange support alters facial appearance.
  • Changing occlusal plane alters function.
Full arch implant dentistry is not simply making larger bridges. It is comprehensive facial rehabilitation.

All on X Immediate Loading Is About Preparation, Not Speed
Immediate loading is often marketed as "teeth in a day." Patients understandably love the idea. Dentists appreciate the efficiency. But experienced clinicians know the reality. The speed comes from preparation. Not shortcuts.

Our All on X workflow is prosthetically driven from the outset. We manufacture the provisional full arch before surgery, allowing implant placement to follow predetermined restorative parameters including vertical dimension, occlusion, tissue support and aesthetics. The provisional prosthesis is then converted chairside into a fixed immediate restoration once implant stability and positioning have been confirmed.

Without planning, same-day loading becomes stressful. With planning, it becomes controlled. There is a huge difference.

Communication Is Often More Important Than Technology
Modern implant dentistry loves talking about scanners, printers, milling machines and AI. These are all valuable tools.
But communication still solves more problems than technology.

Some of the smoothest implant cases involve nothing more complicated than a quick phone call.
  • Discussing restorative space.
  • Confirming emergence profile.
  • Clarifying tissue expectations.
  • Reviewing smile photographs.
  • Confirming screw access.

Asking questions early prevents assumptions later. Our technicians regularly work directly alongside dentists during treatment planning because the earlier potential issues are identified, the easier they are to solve.
Good communication rarely adds time. It usually saves it.

Milled Bars Continue To Play A Vital Role
Although full contour zirconia has become increasingly popular, milled bar solutions remain an excellent option for many full arch and removable implant prostheses.

Bar design is not simply about joining implants together.
  • It is about creating rigidity.
  • Passive fit.
  • Strength.
  • Support.
  • Maintenance.
  • Long-term serviceability.
Different clinical situations require different designs. These may include telescopic bars.
  1. Hybrid bars.
  2. Bars with attachments.
  3. Removable overdenture bars.
  4. Frameworks designed to support individual crowns.

Digital CAD design allows these bars to be manufactured with exceptional consistency while maintaining accurate implant relationships. Bremadent designs and manufactures a range of complex implant framework bars and screw-retained restorations using digital CAD/CAM technology.

Choosing the correct design is every bit as important as manufacturing it accurately.

Immediate Doesn't Mean Permanent
One misconception we occasionally encounter is that the immediate provisional is simply a temporary version of the final bridge. It is much more important than that. The provisional restoration acts as a clinical blueprint.
It allows refinement of:
• Occlusion
• Phonetics
• Aesthetics
• Lip support
• Tooth position
• Patient adaptation

By the time definitive restoration begins, many important clinical questions have already been answered.
The final prosthesis becomes an evolution rather than an experiment. That reduces surprises for everyone involved.

Every Implant System Has Similar Principles
One question dentists often ask is whether laboratories are familiar with specific implant systems.
The answer is yes.

We routinely work with systems including Straumann, Nobel Biocare, Dentsply Sirona, Zimmer Biomet, BioHorizons, Ankylos, ETK, Brånemark, Megagen, DIO and Camlog, alongside many others.

Although components differ, the restorative principles remain remarkably consistent.
  • Accurate planning.
  • Precise records.
  • Passive fit.
  • Stable occlusion.
  • Clear communication.
These principles never change.

The Best Implant Cases Rarely Feel Complicated
Interestingly, the most successful implant cases often appear surprisingly straightforward. Not because they were easy.
Because every stage had already been considered.
  • The patient attends.
  • The surgery runs smoothly.
  • The restoration fits.
  • Minimal adjustments.
  • Everyone leaves smiling.
  • That is rarely coincidence.
  • That is preparation.
Behind every apparently simple implant restoration are countless small decisions made correctly along the way.

Why Choosing Your Laboratory Matters
Implant dentistry is a partnership. The laboratory is not simply manufacturing crowns. We become part of the restorative team.
  • We are reviewing records.
  • Checking implant positions.
  • Designing restorations.
  • Planning occlusion.
  • Supporting chairside conversions.
  • Manufacturing customised components.
Helping solve challenges before they become complications. The more involved your laboratory becomes during planning, the more predictable treatment generally becomes. That partnership creates consistency. Consistency creates confidence. Confidence creates better patient experiences.

At Bremadent, we believe implant dentistry should never feel like a production line. Every case deserves careful planning, technical precision and open communication. Whether you are restoring a single implant crown, delivering a full arch immediate loading case or designing a complex milled bar restoration, our goal remains exactly the same. To help you provide treatment that is predictable, efficient and built for long-term success.

We provide a trusted laboratory service delivering consistent quality, saving chairside time, and supporting predictable patient outcomes.
